RESCUE LITTER

A rescue litter is a vital tool utilized by emergency response teams in hazardous situations to evacuate and transport injured individuals to safety. It plays a critical role in wilderness rescues, natural disasters, and other emergency scenarios where conventional transportation methods are impractical or unavailable. The rescue litter is carefully maneuvered and positioned next to the injured person, who is then carefully secured onto the litter using straps and restraints to ensure stability and minimize further harm. The team works collaboratively, employing their strength and expertise to carry the litter over treacherous terrains, through narrow passages, or across rugged landscapes. The rescue litter acts as a secure platform, providing comfort and protection to the injured person throughout the evacuation process. It serves as a lifeline, enabling the efficient and safe extraction of individuals in distress, ensuring they receive the prompt medical attention they urgently require.

Our Commitment

Your gift is a sacred trust. We promise to honor your generosity and use your donation in the most effective way possible. The gift options shown reflect Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue’s projects and continuing needs, and the suggested donation amounts are based on periodic surveys of the teams overall wishlist. Each item is representative of the gift category in which it appears, and donations will be used to provide assistance within that gift category where it is needed most. When you give any rescue gear, a portion of the gift may also help provide other equipment and materials essential to performing rescues.

The multiplying effect from grants and donated goods may change throughout the year on identical or similar offers due to variations in the start and end dates of donor grants and our programs.
