The Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue team will hold a recruitment meeting on Tuesday, February 7 at 6:00PM. The meeting will be held at the Search and Rescue station, which is located at 66 S San Antonio Road in Goleta. Everyone is welcome to attend the recruitment meeting. We will be happy to answer questions about what we do and what is required to join the team.
Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue is an all volunteer, not for profit professional rescue organization serving under the direction of the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office. SAR rescuers respond to emergencies in collaboration with Fire, Forest Service, and other first responder agencies. The team is on call 24/7, 365 days a year and responds in all types of terrain and conditions.
